In order to meet demands of users in CNG stations, various skid-mounted automatic or semi-automatic natural gas boost compressors and supporting devices are provided. Base on application of gas booster compressors in CNG stations, they can be classified for standard stations, primary stations, and substations. Based on structure, they can be classified as type D, type M, type Z, and type W. Apart from their own characteristics, natural gas compressors used in CNG stations have the following advantages:
①Solid skids are adopted. Piston compressor unit vibrates mildly, operates stably and saves energy.
②Advanced connection is adopted. Keyless expanding sleeve connection, which used to be adopted on large-scale compressors, is used for connection of crank axles end and flywheels on compressors. Besides, installation is easy with good centering and connection.
③Hardening treatment is adopted on piston rod surface, whose hardness reaches HRC75-80 and friction coefficient is reduced for 15-20%.
④A water-cooled cooler with floating head tabulations that can achieve large areas and multipaths is employed, which improves operation reliability of the unit.
⑤The air valve technology is special. The air valve, whose spring is made of specified pagoda-shape stainless steel wire, is manufactured with special technology.
⑥Combined packing seal technology is employed. During operation, the sealing demonstrates high reliability and long service life, and it is more effective especially in conditions with little oil lubrication. Therefore, the operating efficiency is highly improved.
⑦As for the controlling mode, German Siemens mode PLC+touch screen+soft starting (or variable frequency starting) is employed.
