1)Kerosene fuel is easy to obtain and to store, stable in quality. On the other hand, propane tends to liquefy when the temperature drops in autumn. Propane is very expensive. Although natural gas is clean and affordable, it requires higher capital investment in the pressure regulating device, and at present, there are defects in the use of each family, which lead to the production being affected.
2)Kerosene has better coating quality (in terms of bond strength, porosity, and hardness) than propane or other gaseous fuels at supersonic speeds. The coating has only compressive stress and no tensile stress that could lead to cracks.
3)Kerosene Fuelled HVOF Thermal Spray is more efficient, and the time required to complete the same spraying area is only 1/5-1/3 of that of gas supersonic spraying.
