Product Detail

InfraRed (IR) Touch Screens use invisible IR light to detect touch events. A printed circuit board (PCB) frame consisting of IR emitters and corresponding receivers aligned along the X & Y axis. Any interruption in an IR beam is easily detected and converted into X and Y coordinates. Our standard IR product is offered with a glass substrate within the PCB frame to allow stability to the assembly. Custom solutions with polycarbonate, plastic or no substrate layer are available. The printed circuit boards are enclosed in very thin plastic bezel to provide a completely sealed surface. A lens material is used along the inner perimeter of the bezel to filter unwanted light sources and limit interference.
