IQview裡的Vector Signal Generator(VSA)有能力去分析WLAN的接收機效能，在非理想的執行效能設想下，像是傳輸信號的損壞以及由多路徑傳輸與其他通道損壞的情況下所造成的通訊連結失真。這種分析才剛開始引起人們的興趣，而它提供了測量真實Receiver效能的能力。最終，測試的標準被發展成允許真實的Receiver執行效能測試，類似於Transmitter的發展，像是Transmitter的EVM測試。
在製造上縮短信號產生的時間與測試分析時間，執行更有效率的測試量測，藉由執行很少次甚至一次的測試來獲得足夠的特性。目前的趨勢是使用單一的VSA與VSG測試儀器單元來取代傳統的製造測試機包含了頻譜分析儀與Golden unit，進而來改進測試的範圍與減少整個測試時間。
未來的技術挑戰是測試儀器的設計者必須持續地跟隨無線技術的發展腳步。現今最主要的挑戰來自於增加信號的頻寬與分析能力，同時又要確保能有便利的使用者介面。增加無線通訊系統的複雜度，也增加了更多對於特殊分析功能的需求，來確保符合標準通訊規範的測試。
