Swallow Stone,also named the fossil of trilobites,is found at the foot of Mt Tai.Trilobite is a kind of animal which lived about 500million years ago. After occuping the ocean for 300million years ,they were inlaid into brown stone as remained their last dynamic atate ,the fossil looks vivid like flying swallow and so is called swallow stone.
In recent years, swallow stone has been selected to be made into different types of crafts products and adornment by the folk craftsmen, such as pencil vase, ink stone, souvenir, and some other crafts products.
